Activities: TaMBBay Week!

Saturday, August 3, 2013

July 31 to August 2, 2013 were definitely memorable days for both applicants and members. Movies, quiz bees, buddy bonding, lots of food, karaoke, outdoor games and party! Need we say more?

Movie-watching, buddy bonding and quiz bees started off the event! Buddies strived to gather as much detail about their partner to win the game. Biological information, school backgrounds, hobbies as well as trivia were shared amongst each other.

Members and applicants building stronger partnership!
Next up! Movie-related and song-related games tested each other's sportsmanship, unity and memory. To top that, outdoor activities challenged each one's strength, endurance and strategy!

The week ended with blasts of karaoke, food and partying! Talents were discovered!

The judges for the event were Ms. Alex Castro (USC Chairperson), Ms. Myca Bonoan (AIT Representative), Mr. Daniel Doydora (Photographer), and Mr. Myk Gregory Albao (UP Streetdance club).

The talents of the contestants were also astonishing, especially that of Mr. and Ms. NIMBB, Mr. Justine Duran and Ms. Leslie Cando! They danced their heart out in contemporary and modern dances, leaving the audience in great awe. (The video is available in Brandon Sy's Facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201228143402829).

Witty questions were also given witty answers. The candidates were really great in giving on-the-spot responses.

The event ended well, and it was a good end for the NIMBB family. Mr. and Ms. NIMBB bagged the awards, winning the People's Choice Award, Best in Talent and Best in Pixar Parade Costumes. Mr. and Ms. Bio got the Most Photogenic award.
Third place was won by the NIGS candidates, second place for the Institute of Math, and, finally, the FIRST PLACE, the NIMBB candidates! whooo!

For the organization's presentation, the Other Direction video "Other Thing" was showed and the crowd cheered for the good-looking guys in the video. Other CS orgs also presented their own talents in singing, dancing and acting.
