Events: Mr. and Ms. FreCShie 2011

Being the first CS event that UP MBBS lended their helping hands to support this year, Mr. and Ms. FreCShie 2011 was one memorable experience. A week of props making and logistics on the organization's part, and a week of practice and dedication from the institute representatives Katrina David and Joseph Libunao made this event very much anticipated.

The event started with much stress as a sudden downpour and a scheduled pep rally made it difficult for most to make their way to the venue at the NIP atrium. Tensions were high as the representatives rushed to get ready.

Fresh from an all-kill CS event win last year, NIMBB had a lot planned for this event, including sparklers, an entourage of dancers and a larger-than-life arch to escort its representatives into the pageant.

It was no wonder that in the end, Katrina David and Joseph Libunao went home with the Best Talent and Crowd Favorite awards (which were determined by the judges' scores and by bottle votes respectively) and not to mention bagged the title of Overall Winner of Mr. and Ms. FreCShie 2011. The Best Costume award went to the Institute of Chemistry for the second year in a row, and the Institute of Math bagged the award for Most Photogenic with an overwhelming amount of likes on their Facebook Photo.

This CS Event aimed to unite the CS freshmen in a common effort and bring out the bibo in each of them. I'm sure we can say with confidence that the CS freshmen are some of the best in the university, with brains, beauty, and talent to boot.

There is no limit to what anybody can achieve with help and support of friends, and family. I'm sure each institute is equally proud of their representatives, regardless of the outcome, and we look forward to the next Mr. and Ms. FreCShie. Again, a big round of applause for the winners, and a big THANK YOU to UP MBBS for their undying support in this endeavor.
