Today, we got to meet the new members of the NIMBB family-- MBB Batch 2017! Fifty-two students lined up for the freshmen orientation registration. Each was handed with lunch and materials that will guide them throughout their stay in the university.

To start the orientation, Dr. Saloma, the institute director, gave the freshmen a brief introduction on the history behind the institute and on the members of the faculty, laboratory instructors, research assistants and administrative staff. She also relayed the goal, “To nurture the best mind”, in behalf of the faculty and staff.

Discourse on the BS MBB curriculum was done by Dr. Denise Bascos, the deputy director of the institute. Guidelines on passing a pre-requisite subject, grade requirements for achieving Latin honors as well as college scholar and university scholar, blocks, and the maintaining grade were also stated.

What is more to the NIMBB life? Laboratories and infrastructures. Ma’am Karen Rosal presented the different laboratories homed by the institute, maintenance upon utilization of such, and the rules and regulations inside the building. To top it off, the students were toured around the building.

Get-to-know activities and interactive games manifesting the theme (Adventure Time) prepared by the members of the MBB Society for the freshmen ended the day. The event was truly a blast! See you around the building, freshies!
